Position Title: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Performs medical/ psychiatric assessments.
- Performs medical evaluations of new clients upon admission and performs psychiatric evaluations as needed.
- Provides weekly consultations with clients.
- Provides minimum call coverage.
- Responsible for Medication Management.
- Responsible for providing medications according to approved formulary.
- Provides on-going client education.
- Provides on-going and quarterly staff training.
Education & Experience: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent PA program degree
- Current valid state medical license
- Board Certified Mental Health NP or PA
- DEA/DPS license
- 1+ years of experience in Psychiatric Mental Health Care a must for PAs
- new PMHNP grads welcomed
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
