Growing primary care practice is searching for a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Harrison, NY. $120K-$145K+ DOE with great benefits! 1+ year of NP experience required. NP shall provide primary care within a Skilled Nursing facility.
Position Summary: Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Job Duties & Responsibilities: Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Diagnosing, treating, and helping patients manage acute and chronic illnesses
- Conducting physical examinations and interpreting medical history
- Ordering and performing diagnostic tests and procedures
- Prescribing age-specific physical therapy and rehabilitation
- Prescribing pharmacologic treatments (depends on state regulation)
- Performing minor procedures
- Counseling and educating patients about preventive measures
Education & Experience: Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (NP)
- Master of Science in Nursing degree
- Current valid state medical license
- Board Certified NP
- 1+ years’ experience a must
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or specialty certification as required by department.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities
